Traffic advisory: West side rolling short stoppages to resume Tuesday

Motorists should expect changing work locations, lane restrictions and flaggers at west side intersections throughout this week.

Work is anticipated at intersections between Posey County Line Road to Rosenberger Avenue. Crews are adding an intermediate layer of asphalt on the eastbound lanes including active intersections.

Intersection milling and grading is planned for Tuesday, July 28. Expect rolling closures at each intersection. Flaggers will help move traffic through the operations as the old surface is removed.

Intermediate paving is scheduled for Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, weather permitting.

Motorists should expect lane restrictions and delays. Some interruptions may last longer than 10–15 minutes.

Flaggers will be used to direct traffic. Motorists should follow the directions of the flaggers, even when traffic signals are present.

The flaggers will temporarily manage traffic flow to allow fresh asphalt to be placed and compacted safely before vehicles travel across it.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the project area.
