Traffic advisory: Rolling short stoppages planned for West Side

Beginning this week, crews will briefly pause traffic for paving operations.

Work will begin at Posey County Line Road, where crews will add an intermediate layer of asphalt on the eastbound lanes including active intersections.

Work will then move east from intersection to intersection, ending at Rosenberger Avenue.

Only one intersection will be affected at a time.

Traffic stoppages will last approximately 10 to 15 minutes.

The work is expected to be completed over the course of several weeks, weather permitting.

Flaggers will be used to direct traffic. Motorists should follow the directions of the flaggers, even when traffic signals are present.

The flaggers will temporarily manage traffic flow to allow fresh asphalt to be placed and compacted safely before vehicles travel across it.

Drivers are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the project area.
