Temporary closure at Boehne Camp will impact transit around PHMS back to school week

Perry Heights Middle School teachers and families, be ready for a West Side improvement project that will temporarily impact your regular traffic route to the campus. Boehne Camp Road north of the Lloyd Expressway is closing on or after July 14 for approximately 30 days. That includes the start of the school year.

Access Boehne Camp from the north if you normally use the Lloyd. The closure relates to minor intersection improvements at Boehne Camp — from added/lengthened turn lanes to new pavement markings, signage and traffic signal replacement.  Work will occur intermittently through 2026.

The school year for students of PHMS, home of the Panthers, 5800 Hogue Road, begins the week of August 4.
Motorists should plan for extra travel time when using the Lloyd Expressway, plan ahead by visiting INDOT TrafficWise or 511in.org to monitor congestion along the Lloyd.
