You are invited to ‘test drive’ redesigned Stockwell Road intersection before its unveiling

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The much-anticipated redesigned Stockwell Road intersection is about to open. To get you ready, the Lloyd4U project team has scheduled a pair of interactive open houses for Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Harper Elementary School.

The school’s gym floor will be outfitted with a walkable layout of a Displaced Left Turn, offering attendees a chance to simulate how to make left turns from eastbound Lloyd to northbound Stockwell. Additional displays will showcase the Boulevard Left Turn for westbound Lloyd traffic heading south on Stockwell.

Transportation experts will be on hand to answer questions and help attendees feel more confident when it’s time to drive the redesigned intersection.

Information shared at the open houses will be identical, so you can attend either – from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Harper Elementary, 21 South Alvord Boulevard.

The intersections at Stockwell and Vann are expected to be open to traffic by the second week of June, weather permitting.
