Occasional Stoppages Expected on the Lloyd for Traffic Signal Work

Intermittent 15-20 minute stoppages in place for approximately two weeks

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Lloyd4U crews expect to implement intermittent traffic stoppages on the Lloyd Expressway’s east and westbound lanes near Stockwell Road. The stoppages will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. starting on or after Monday, March 24. Stoppages won’t occur every day, but they will continue, on occasion, until Friday, April 8.

The work will require crews to stop east and westbound Lloyd Expressway traffic for approximately 20 minutes at a time to access traffic signals overhead. When a stoppage is anticipated the day, we will share that information on TheLloyd4U Facebook and X(Formerly Twitter).

Stay alert and watch for changing traffic conditions when approaching the work zone. Prepare for sudden stops during traffic stoppages.
