Lloyd4U Activity to Begin on Evansville’s East Side

Traffic Signal Removal at Vann and Lane Restrictions Planned

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Major changes are expected to begin on Evansville’s east side next week. Road crews will start installing construction signs this week on the Lloyd Expressway in the area of Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road. Below is a tentative schedule for upcoming construction activities:

  • On or after Monday, August 19th, single-lane closures are expected to begin on both east and westbound Lloyd Expressway between Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road. Both outside lanes will be reduced to allow shoulder strengthening work to accommodate future travel on the shoulders.
  • On or after Wednesday, August 21 construction crews will restrict left turns at Vann Avenue and Stockwell Road. Crews will remove the traffic signal at Vann Avenue and install a barrier wall at the Vann intersection. Once the signal is removed, left turns at the intersection will be permanently restricted.

We encourage motorists to take extra time during morning and evening commutes and plan accordingly. For more information visit thelloyd4u.com, while there you can review project maps and materials.
