Plan Ahead!

Rosenberger Avenue north of the Lloyd will be closed for 15 days starting on or after September 2. This will include access to University Drive from Rosenberger.

Other items to note:

  • Starting September 3, no right turns allowed from eastbound Lloyd to southbound Burkhardt
  • No right turns from northbound Burkhart to eastbound Lloyd continue
  • Ongoing inside lane restrictions continue for southbound Burkhardt north of the Lloyd

Be sure to:

✅ Plan ahead

✅ Allow extra time

✅ Stay alert in work zones

Your patience keeps everyone safe! Plan ahead by visiting INDOT TrafficWise or 511in.org to monitor conditions along the Lloyd.

Resourceful and Responsible

To improve the visibility of lane markings at the new Lloyd and Stockwell Road intersection, along with other sections of the Lloyd, Indiana Department of Transportation crews added brighter white epoxy markings to the pavement surface (see picture).

INDOT will also add temporary raised reflectors to mark lanes in an effort to address customer concerns during challenging times of the day, such as sunset.

In addition to the white striping and raised pavement markers, plans are underway to add markings to the medians to improve visibility.

Thanks for your patience and for paying attention to construction crews as they take measures to improve safety and visibility on the Lloyd. Epoxy pavement markings.

Pouring It On!

Work on the westbound lanes of the Lloyd Expressway continues to build!

Earlier this summer, we showed you the beams being placed at the Tekoppel bridge; now we share the sights and sounds of pouring the bridge deck, which occurred in the dark before rush hour Wednesday, August 6.

There’s so much coordination and care that goes into the process, documented here:

Sunrise Over the Lloyd

Check out this breathtaking sunrise we caught on a hot August morning—an inspiring reminder of the progress our crews are making.

It’s been a productive summer.

Astronomical fall begins with the autumnal equinox—when the sun is directly over the equator—resulting in equal hours of daylight and darkness on September 22.

We will continue working long hours even as the days grow shorter.

As always, we appreciate your vigilance in keeping our crew safe. Obey work zone speed limits and keep your phone out of reach.
